Spring Lake Easter and Spring Fling Events
Each month American Legion Post 230 has at least one event that is in the community. This could be presenting an award all the way to supporting events in the community which we have the pleasure to serve. At the beginning of April, Post 230 in Spring Lake, North Carolina had an opportunity to support two different community events with Spring Lake and surrounding military communities.
The first event was an Easter Egg hunt put on at Mendoza Park. We try to attend this event every year and this year it was simply unbelievable how many Easter eggs were found at the park. In total, there we over 6000 eggs placed at the event with families coming from all around the Fort Bragg and Fayetteville area. It was a pleasure to be involved with this event and we look forward to being involved again next year.
The next event we had the pleasure being a part of was the Spring Lake Spring Fling. This event marks the community entering into Spring and the great weather that comes along with it. The event this year was much larger than we have seen in the past and there was so many Veterans that stopped by and asked if we could help them. The answer is YES! This as another great event and as always Spring Lake made this a memorable event for the entire team that was present.
