Mid-Winter Awards for Post 230

Post 230 Commander attended the Mid-Winter American Legion conference in Raleigh, North Carolina from February 16-19, 2017. The focus of the conference is for all posts across North Carolina to come together and discuss the next couple of months in regards to the American Legion.

During the event, American Post 230 was awarded the various things noted below. We can't be successful without the support of the entire Post. Each of the certificates, streamers and awards will be posted inside of the American Legion post once renovations are complete.

Additionally, during the Mid-Winter conference the Post attended the Walk for Veterans. Pictures below showcase the following:

Picture one: L to R Auxiliary Unit President Margie Erskine, Commander Mark Erskine, Chapter 230 Director Tom Ruhl, and Auxiliary Unit 230 Member Maria Ruhl waiting to start the Walk for Veterans.

Picture two: National Commander Charles Schmidt addresses the walker with a young Sons Of Legion member.
