American Legion Post 230 has had a great relationship with Boy Scout Troop 82 over the past couple of years. The Post has focused much of its attention on being a support mechanism for the troop to ensure that scouts inside of the troop were successful. The purpose of the Spring Lake Memorial Day ceremony is to remember those who have made the ultimate sacrifice for the price of freedom in a dignified and respectful manner while celebrating the gifts they left everyone to enjoy. A large deployment from Fort Bragg, N.C., to Kuwait will result in thousands of family members being left behind.
