WHAT WE DO & WHY TO JOIN

American Legion Post 230 is located on West Manchester Road right outside of Fayetteville, Fort Bragg and Pope Army Airfield in Spring Lake, North Carolina.  Our goal as a post is to support the local community with as many various things as we can.  Below are just some of the things the post offers to active-duty, Veterans, their families. 

RANGE FOR MEMBERS

We have a pistol range located on the property that Post 230 members can use.  For more information on using the facility click here.

SERVICE

The American Legion we bring together Veterans from across all major conflicts.  Together we support the local community through service.  Click here to see our post events. 

YOUTH PROGRAMS

We know our youth is the future of our nation and we devote countless hours inside of the local community mentoring them.  Click here to learn more about our programs.

ORATORICAL
SCHOLARSHIPS

The Oratorical contest is available to all local high school students looking for scholarships.  Scholarships range from $1,500 - $18,000 per student.  Read more here.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE

The TFA awards grants to minor children of Veterans who are eligible American Legion Members need financial assistance.  Learn more here.

RONALD McDONALD
HOUSE

Post 230 supports the local Ronald McDonald house each year be delivering Pull Tabs from aluminum cans.  They use the pull tabs to get money to support kids.  Contact us to drop of your tabs.
